why any of this is free
Because we were the teacher opening a tab at 8:50 with a class walking in at 8:55, and because every version of that moment we ever met was gated. An email address for a worksheet. An account for a PDF. A trial that took the materials back when it ended. We have been on the wrong side of that door and we are not putting one in front of anybody else.
And it is honest advertising. The fastest way to find out whether a 3andB workbook is worth your Sunday is to teach one of our lessons on a Tuesday. So we give you a whole one — the chapter, the key, the slides — instead of a sales page about how good it is. If it doesn't land in your room, you've lost nothing but a printout, and we'd rather know that than sell you the book first.
it's the same work
The free material is not the offcuts. It is written to the same reading levels, set in the same type, checked by the same people and printed from the same templates as the 2,500+ lessons in the catalog. Every Daily Starter is read by a person before it goes up — an actual name on an actual queue — because a warm-up that lands wrong in a room of thirteen-year-olds is worse than no warm-up at all.
Both daily products come in English and Spanish, and the Spanish is a translation of the same approved material rather than a second, thinner version of it — same story, same picture, same vocabulary, same answers. A bilingual room can print both and be teaching one lesson.
what you never give us
No account. No email address. No school district affiliation, no newsletter you have to unsubscribe from later, no watermark with your name across a page you handed to a student. Nothing on any of the three pages asks you for a single field. Print it, copy it for your classes, put it in a sub folder, hand it to the teacher across the hall.
