What teachers say
Practical Workbook for Future Entrepreneurs
A well-organized workbook that does a good job connecting classroom learning to real business situations. I liked that the lessons focus on practical skills like cash flow, pricing, marketing, and decision-making instead of just memorizing terms. The case studies and action plans make the material feel more realistic and engaging for students. The layout is easy to follow, and the included lecture notes and answer keys are helpful for teachers trying to save prep time. Some sections are fairly detailed for beginners, but overall it’s a strong resource for entrepreneurship and career readiness classes.
Great comprehensive review of small business basics
I was especially impressed by this book’s balanced coverage of AI in business. While some people think AI is horrible and some people may use it indiscriminately, this book encourages selective use to save time and increase efficiency in business. It points out when it is inappropriate to use AI, such as when writing a business plan or a contract. Personally, in speaking with a recent business major college grad, I was glad I had just been reading this book. As he said he was trying to decide which companies to apply to for jobs, I suggested the idea from this book that he do some market research on which companies are doing the most hiring and might be in a good marketing position. He said he had considered that, and I encouraged him to try it. I think this book will not only suit the beginning business student with its consistent chapter layouts and variety of businesses given as examples, but will also be an excellent reference book for small business owners operating in the modern world. As this book comprehensively covers the basics of launching and operating a small business, I will keep it as a great reference.
