good book

What stands out is how clearly the material is laid out. The book explains key concepts without assuming a technical background, then gradually introduces more practical ideas like system protection, threat awareness, and incident response planning. It helps readers understand not just the tools involved, but the mindset required to think like a security professional.

Robotics finally made understandable

I picked this up thinking robotics would be confusing, but this workbook broke it down in a way that actually clicked for me. The lessons build logically, so I never felt lost or overwhelmed. I especially appreciated the practice questions with answer keys — they helped me check my understanding and see exactly where I needed to focus more. The lecture notes tied concepts together in a clear, approachable way instead of leaving me guessing. What stood out most is how accessible and engaging it feels, even if you’ve never tackled robotics before. By the end, I felt confident, curious, and genuinely excited to keep learning more about how robots work.

An excellent workbook for students (and adults!)

I don't know much about Robotics so I bought this book to learn about it. I am a senior citizen and really liked the information presented, how it was laid out, the questions and puzzles throughout. Not just a textbook; the author makes you think. I believe that many students (and adults) can use this as a foundation to learn more about this complex topic. Overall, well done.

Well-structured, attractive, and current

A librarian friend of mine has been drafted into co-teaching a middle school robotics class, despite having no background in the subject at all. So since I am also a middle school librarian I thought I had better brush up in case the same thing happens to me. Personal motivations aside, this book is an amazing introduction - well-structured, attractive layout (i.e. not too much plain text), and, most importantly, current. Meaning it does not shy away from AI even while most is naturally dedicated to wiring, clear programming, and sensors. Ironically, now I would almost like to be drafted into a robotics class (and mean to recommend this to my teacher friend who was).

Great robotics workbook but could use more visuals

The lessons, quizzes, and hands-on projects really make children to understand robot function. The material is up-to-date and discusses mechanics, programming and rudiments of excitement in a fun way. The only thing missing from this great resource are more pictures and visual illustrations. It would be nice to see real robot parts, circuits, or projects in action to make the instruction even more effective. On the whole a great and inspiring resource for the younger student.
