Valuable guide for teachers and strong learning tool for kids

I enjoyed the thoroughness of 25x: U.S. History… Each section has a narrative, room for note taking, review questions, a list of key terms (with room for the reader to fill in the blanks), a word search and a crossword puzzle. An excellent guide for teachers and home schoolers, this is sure to entertain kids while making life easier for the teacher. The content is valuable. I loved it.

a backbone for a course or homeschool plan

LE and JH present a structured walkthrough of U.S. history that feels tailored to teens rather than historians. The consistent lesson format makes it easy for teachers to assign and for students to follow without getting lost. 25x: U.S. History – Part 2 works especially well as a backbone for a course or homeschool plan, turning big eras from the Civil War through the Cold War into manageable lessons.

Excellent Source for Learning Recent US History

Kindle Version Only: This book is the second part of a wonderful compendium of modules that teach our nation’s history through readings that are followed by review questions and puzzles. These latter help the student to rehearse what has just been learned by requiring the recall of this new knowledge, which is bound to result in enhanced retention. Naturally, an answer key is provided. Despite my wholehearted recommendation of this project, prospective buyers should probably not purchase this version on Kindle that if they want to follow this course for their own education, because the implementation isn’t interactive and a reader can’t work the puzzles and short answer questions in the book interactively - those buyers will need to purchase a hard copy version. Nevertheless, I can wholeheartedly recommend this series as a strong aid in learning and retaining American history.

Cold War Made Easy

I am a history-nerd and this book caught my attention. With so many political and economic issues going on in the country, I feel like it's interesting to learn some more about our history. This book covers some big topics from Civil War and reconstruction to post-war America and the modern era. Each chapter is well written and easy to understand. At the end of each chapter, there is some true/false tests to help you memorize the facts faster. There are also some word puzzle games which is very fun to play along. Highly recommend this book.
