About this workbook
25x: Physical Science – Middle School is a 371-page, NGSS-aligned workbook with 25 lessons for students in grades 6–8. The 2025–2026 edition introduces and reinforces concepts across scientific methods, matter, energy, forces, atomic structure, chemical reactions, astronomy, and space science.
Each chapter includes a student-friendly article, guided notes, six reflection questions, a hypothetical “What-if” scenario, a crossword puzzle, a word search, and 10 key science terms to define and explore. Updated articles, visuals, analogies, guided notes, challenges, applications, puzzles, and vocabulary sets support classroom, homeschool, hybrid, STEM, after-school, and intervention settings.
An introductory YouTube video accompanies each lesson, and an AI-powered online tutor provides 24/7 student support. This is the workbook only; no answer key is included.
Students develop science vocabulary, strengthen comprehension, think critically, and connect physical science concepts with real-world applications and STEM careers.

What teachers say
Fantastic bundle of books
These books are great and terrific for helping me teach these science courses to my students!
A Well-Crafted, High Value Resource
The curriculum my school provided was incomplete, and the 25x resources were the perfect addition to providing a higher value of education to my students. The content is high quality and the questions are well-written. I could see how using all the resources would create a consistent education for students, but the similar format may eventually become repetitive. I do plan on holding on to these resources for years to come.
Well organized resource!
I used this to review my students before state testing! It was a great resource! I think next year I will use this to introduce my students to new topics or to reinforce my teaching.
Great Resource
Very engaging for students; they look forward to reading and interacting with this resource!
Such a great resource!
This has been such a great resource! I'm teaching a pull-out physical science class for the first time, and this has been so helpful!
A light even for school librarians
For clarity, I am a school librarian—not a science teacher. But every school librarian worth their salt has an arsenal of Mini-Lessons ready to go so they can best serve and co-teach alongside the classroom teachers. This book is, for me, that arsenal to first amaze then get students passionate about science. Five neutron stars, no question.
Good resource
This is a nice middle school level resource to introduce students to physical sciences topics. It covers a broad range, from basics in chemistry, physics, and astronomy. Each chapter has a series of exercises like fill-in-the-blank, short answer style questions, along with a word search. There are many colorful illustrations to keep the kids somewhat engaged. It could be applicable for a wide age range (even as low as 9 yrs. and up to maybe 13 yrs. old).
Great Resource
The materials are wonderfully helpful for all my learners.
Lots of resources
Great value! Many pages and activities for the price. It will help me have appropriate-level choices for my students. Thanks.
Great for Yearly Planning
I have not used this yet, but have copied my first few units. I used them to plan my entire school year. They match up with the textbook I have, which makes it even better. My students love word searches and crossword puzzles as activities. I love the guided notes to go along with the video (which I believe the kids will like). The reading article is especially nice because it fits in with reading standards. Thanks!
Nice set of resources
This resource was great for quick lessons with interactive components.
Solid middle school science support
This huge physical science workbook really covers the bases—articles, guided notes, vocab, puzzles, and even YouTube vids. It’s super organized and clearly built by experienced teachers, so I can see it being a boon for busy middle school classrooms or homeschools needing a full curriculum in one book. My only nitpick: is it has that polished, mass-produced vibe (think: solid content but not super inspiring). Still, for structure, variety, and NGSS alignment, it does exactly what it promises. All in all, quite a good school book.
